| Armenia is a poverty stricken country with a changeful history. Over the past 100 years Armenia had to face terror, oppression, despotism down to genocide. To date, the infrastructure which had been heavily damaged by the devastating earthquake back in 1988 is still in poor condition.
The other side of Armenia displays a rich land – abundant in highly fertile soil und blessed with a sunshiny climate. It is the walnut tree, in particular, which finds optimal conditions in the Caucasian altitudes. The walnut is palatable and a much sought-after raw material for one of the healthiest cooking oils, i.e. walnut oil. For many years walnut oil has been in high demand and demand for it has been increasing worldwide. |
