This is a question asked by almost all donors and you are right to ask this question. Naturally, it is the wish of every donor to see their contribution economically and effectively spent on walnut cultivation and the people of Armenia to the best of our ability. However, we cannot fully refrain from seeking professional assistance for our PR-work and professional fundraising if we honestly wish to make a sustainable difference to the Armenian people. Our own experience makes it clear as daylight: We are afraid most people in this country and the Western civilization do not envisage Armenia as a bitterly impoverished and needy nation. Therefore, we need to mention that we regard statements like “Each and every single Cent will reach Armenia!” as pure illusions. Such young a donation organisation like ours which depends on honorary support from our members and sponsors also needs to spend financial means on ads and also on establishing a broadly based footing for the association’s purposes. We believe it is impossible to offer lasting and professional development aid for Armenia without the above mentioned features.
To grant you the assurance that a maximum of your donation will reach the grounds of Armenia we have taken the decision from the very beginning to voluntarily follow the recommendations of Deutsches Zentralinstitut für soziale Fragen/DZI (Central Institute for Social Matters of Germany) and to fulfil all of their requirements in order to receive the DZI-signet. This means, from the very beginning we will keep our expenses on ads and administrative work far lower than 35% in our total disbursements. Those 35% have been advised by DZI as a reasonable borderline.
Moreover, we are ambitious to allow it to fall below 20% after only 3 years although DZI has calculated the proportions of internal fees and has come the conclusion that the figure of 20% that are spent on charges for ads and outlays for administrative work can actually be considered as adequate.
Every year our association draws a detailed report on the utilisation of the donations (for the first time in 2011).

In addition to this, we will voluntarily request DZI to scrutinise our organisation in order to maintain our DZI-signet annually starting in 2011.
You may receive tax reductions. At the beginning of the following year you will receive an accumulative acknowledgement of receipt if your donation lies at 100 Euros or higher. If your donation should lie below 100 Euros, kindly submit an account statement to the fiscal authorities but we are also happy to make out a single-receipt if desired.
